I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a Make-up Artist, I’ve always been creative and loved drawing and painting ever since I can remember. When selecting my GCSES at school I chose creative subjects such as art and graphics to help me pursue a career in make-up.

 

I studied Specialist Make-up and Media Make-up at college and obtained NVQ Levels 2 & 3 in make-up. I am therefore qualified in special occasion make-up, wedding and bridal, photographic make-up, face paint and spray tanning. Whilst at college I completed work experience at ‘The Body Shop’ on my free days . This experience helped me obtain my first job as Make-up Artist for ‘Smashbox Cosmetics’. I worked there for 2 and a half years whilst learning to drive and completing my college courses. 

 

I was then offered a position as Freelance Make-up Artist and Hair Stylist for a photographic studio in Manchester at 18 years old. I fell in love with the environment and I adored watching clients gain confidence in front on the camera. Unfortunately I was made redundant so I started working for ‘Urban Decay Cosmetics’ and continued to work in other photographic studios in my spare time. I was then promoted to Senior Make-up artist for ‘Urban Decay’ and worked there full time for another two years. 

 

My last employment was Resident Make-up artist for ‘Chanel’. I went through intense training and exams whereby I acquired experience and learnt from celebrity Make-up Artists. I gained so much confidence in delivering luxury service and I was tiered into the top level of Make-up artists in the country. 

 

Throughout all the years working for cosmetic companies, I gained experience working with so many different people. I spent years testing products and building my kit and in November 2019 finally decided to take the plunge and work for myself after 9 years in retail. This was the best decision of my life, I can honestly say I absolutely love my job, work really doesn’t feel like work to me anymore because it’s my passion.

 

Being a part of my clients special day, bringing out their natural beauty and giving them a pamper brings me so much joy. I am a perfectionist so I will make sure your make-up is symmetrical, flattering and beautiful not only for you but for my personal pride and job satisfaction. I am also a very organised person, so rest assured your messages to me will be responded to, your appointment will be noted immediately and any requests will be documented thoroughly.
